Compare Marketing Terms of Trade

    General

  1. All contracts will include these Terms and Conditions for the supply of services by Compare Marketing Ltd ("the Supplier") other than contracts specified in point 2. These Terms and Conditions supersede any previously issued Terms and Conditions of Supply.
  2. Where a separate written agreement has been arranged, signed by an authorised representative of the Supplier, the terms of that agreement will prevail over these terms and conditions.
  3. These terms and conditions will be interpreted in accordance with the Laws of England and Wales.
  4. Prices

  5. The price payable shall be the total price specified in the Suppliers current price list or catalogue subject to paragraphs 5, less any discounts agreed in advance in writing by the Supplier. We keep the right to change prices with 14 days' notice and commit to publish the price list on the site.
  6. Any discounts agreed by the Supplier as at the date of these terms and conditions shall continue to be honoured for the remainder of the term of the relevant agreement.
  7. All prices are subject to VAT at the applicable rate.
  8. Payment Terms

  9. All invoices are payable within fourteen (14) days of invoice, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Supplier. Payment will be in the currency of the invoice, drawn on a bank based in the UK or by an alternative method as agreed with the Supplier prior to the issue of the invoice.
  10. Failure to pay all amounts due by the date on the last invoice may result in: 1) withholding of further supplies including supplies for which the customer has already made full payment for; and/or 2) charging of interest on amounts outstanding at the rate of 4% above HSBC base rate from time to time and we may also add a £12 fee for each reminder letter.
  11. Credit Terms

  12. From time to time the Supplier is entitled to set and vary credit limits. The Supplier is within their right to withhold all further supplies if the customer exceeds such credit limit.
  13. Subscriptions

Pay In Advance ('PIA') Subscriptions. a) PIA Subscriptions commence on the date specified on the Supplier's Invoice ('Commencement Date') and continue until terminated by either party by no less than 30 days written notice to expire on an anniversary of the Commencement Date or by the Customer in writing within 14 days of the Supplier's invoice under paragraph 13 below. b) The price for the first year of any PIA subscription is the Supplier's list price at the date of the order. The price for subsequent years is the Supplier's list price at the anniversary of the Commencement Date unless otherwise agreed in writing between the supplier and the customer. c) The Supplier will inform the customer by invoice before each anniversary of the Commencement Date of the price payable for the next 12 months and of any change to the terms and conditions applicable to that product.
  15. Data Protection

  16. Any Personal data provided by customers will occasionally be used by the Supplier in accordance with the Supplier's Privacy Policy. This is available at http://www.lawyerscompare.com/privacy_policy.php or on request in hard copy from the Supplier. For the purpose of enabling the Supplier to collect debts owed by the customer, if required personal data may also be passed to debt collection businesses.
